The renovation of the front entrance required the removal of existing roof, brick, brownstone, bluestone steps, foundation and basement steps. Before removal, the original brownstone veneer was photographed. Each block on the photos was numbered and the brownstone blocks themselves were numbered to correspond with the photos. The stones where then temporarily stored on site, then re-installed to match the original pattern. The cement joints had to be tooled to match the original. Solid bluestone step treads where installed to match the original. Colored conrete was used on the landing and basement steps
